Meet Mads
& her best friend
Neve is the original Mads’ Best Friend—a Romanian rescue with a complex past, who arrived full of big feelings and challenging behaviours. The experience of guiding Neve through her challenges laid the foundation for how Maddie works today.
After growing up with rescue dogs, Maddie spent years gaining hands-on experience- supporting pet dog owners, from daycare, to walking and training for anxious dogs who needed a bit of extra TLC. She went on to work with various rescue organisations, including as a Dog Trainer and Behaviour Advisor at Battersea Dogs & Cats Home. Maddie has also worked and volunteered with a range of UK and international rescues, including projects in Romania and Morocco, further expanding her expertise in supporting dogs from all walks of life.
Professionally trained in modern dog training and behaviour, Maddie has studied Advanced Level 5 education in Canine Behaviour (aligned with ABTC standards), alongside training with organisations including IMDT and The Dog Training College. She continues to expand her expertise through regular CPD in modern, science-backed, positive training and behaviour, ensuring her approach is always up-to-date, and tailored to the needs of each dog and their human.
Whether it’s supporting new adopters, helping overwhelmed owners, or stepping in before the challenges of puppyhood escalate, our focus is always the same— to keep dogs in their forever homes and prevent more from ending up in rescue.
